The Company Story
The company has been processing payments for merchants since 2022. It was founded by Sergey Nikitin, who was laid off from Anchorage Digital in the wake of the FTX Exchange collapse. Instead of searching for another job, Sergey has decided to utilize his knowledge of the payments industry and crypto to start his own crypto payment gateway company.
Seeing how hacks and mismanagement of crypto funds affected almost all custodial crypto companies, Sergey have made the decision to build a service that would not custody merchant's funds, which would make it completely impervious to hacker attacks and extremely reliable. Also, from his prior experience with payments, Sergey knew that the merchant onboarding, which could typically take multiple days, is the number one reason for dissatisfaction for clients. So, he made the decision to implement the signup process that is as streamlined as possible.
Since the initial launch in 2022, the team at ATLOS has added a variety of unique features that make ATLOS payment gateway stand out from the competition. For example, ATLOS allows users to complete payments by connecting a wallet without manually inputting any payment information, which makes the user experience very smooth, increases conversion, and reduces errors.
